PTFE is Polytetrafluoroethylene or as we are used to call it in our everyday life
– Teflon. PTFE material thanks to its wonderful characteristics (which include
flexibility, lightness, surface that is non sticky and hypo-allergic properties),
has become an ideal material for producing body piercing jewelry. Apart from all
those wonderful properties mentioned above there are some more important ones,
for example, PTFE material is ideally compatible with biomaterials and eventually
in addition to its broad use in surgery (it's widely used for production of different
implants and artificial parts of some human organs such as heart valves), it of
course is widely used for producing of body piercing, as with such characteristics
PTFE piercing jewelry can be used just after you made your piercing, moreover,
PTFE material has healing properties which will quicken the healing process of
your newly-made piercings. We don't want to say that PTFE material body piercing
jewelry is the only ideal thing for you, but we do strongly recommend to have at
least a couple of such articles in your collection, as we are sure that they will
be useful for you sometime in your life, for example if suddenly you need to make
an X-ray or MRI, or in some other cases when you don't want other people to notice
that you have a piercing in your body.
